Mayahi criticizes Jumaili’s statements over Davutoglu’s visit to Kirkuk

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the White bloc, Aziz Shareef, criticized “The statements of the head of Iraqi Slate in the parliament, Salman al-Jumaili, over the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kirkuk.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We must avoid paying a compliment at the expense of the Iraqi’s interests.”

“This visit is not constitutional,” he added.

“We as MPs condemn such violations against the Iraqi sovereignty and the government should conduct the required steps,” he concluded.

Earlier, Jumaili defended the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kirkuk and Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
