Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the White bloc, Aziz al-Mayahi, justified the failures of the 2012 budget were caused due to the financial corruption in some ministries and provinces, noting that “Some ministries that belongs to some political blocs aim to hurdle the governmental performance.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday, he said “The 2012 budget was good in the investment level and has a good developmental aspects, but the financial and administrational corruptions in some ministries, especially the service ones, was the reason behind the failure in the budget.”

“The instance of those ministries on not completing the set plans aim to bring failure and to prove that the government is unable to provide services for the government,” he added.

He expected “The upcoming budgets to fail if there are no strict laws to the ministries and the provinces that lag in applying their tasks.”

He criticized “The actions conducted by some sides to bring failure to the government in order to achieve some political and personal benefits against the benefit of Iraq,” warning from “Serious results will not be against those sides only, but against the political process in Iraq.”
