Mayahi urges to allocate IQD 200 billion for Diwaniya

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aziz al-Mayahi of the White Bloc from Diwaniya Province demanded the Council of Ministers to allocate IQD 200 billion to Diwaniya province from the supplementary budget for 2012.

In a statement to Iraqi News, MP Mayahi said Thursday “Diwaniya province is among the poorest provinces in Iraq due to lack of financial revenues as well as limited financial allocations from the State’s budget which do not exceed IQD 210 billion which is not enough to satisfy needs of the province.”

“The Province needs exceptional treatment and support from the Central Government to help thousands of poor families and dozens of thousands of unemployed young men,” he stressed.

“We call the CoM to allocate IQD 200 billion from the supplementary budget of 2012 to rescue the province from the deteriorated living situation,” MP Mayahi concluded.
