Mhamidawi criticizes politicians’ statement over attributing Kirkuk to Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of Brave Sons of Iraq Alliance, Abbas al-Mhamidawi, criticized “Some political figures’ statement over attributing Kirkuk to Kurdistan Region.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Kirkuk is a reflection of Iraq’s multiplicity,” noting that “This province was and still represents the cultural and civilized identity of all Iraqis as a sample for the peaceful coexistence among the communities.”

“Kurds are not allowed to say that Kirkuk is Kurdish city similarly the Arabs and the Turkmen since it is with Iraqi identity,” he added.

“Attributing Kirkuk to one community is to destroy the Iraqi unity and to arouse a lot of problems,” he concluded.
