MoT: Kurdistan Region airports subjected to supervision of Civil Aviation Authority

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Transport announced that “The airspace and the airports of Kurdistan Region are subjected to the supervision of the Civil Aviation Authority.”

The Advisor of the Minister of Transport, Kareem al-Noori, stated to IraqiNews.com “Violating the authorities of the Civil Aviation Authority means a clear violation for the constitution.”

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, has arrived in Kirkuk after visiting Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
