MP accuses Barzani of creating crises to prepare for Kurdistan Region\

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Salam al-Maliki of the State of Law Coalition accused the President of the Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani of attempting to create crises to prepare suitable ground for declaring the Region’s independence from Iraq.

MP Maliki said “Barzani and the MPs who support him always try to create crises or violating the Iraqi Constitution in order to find pretexts to justify their desire to separate from Iraq through pretending being oppressed and marginalized by the Central Government.”

“Barzani violated all the laws when he sheltered the fugitive former Vice President, Tariq al-Hashimi, that facilitated his escape to Turkey and provided shelters for the Syrian militants in the Kurdistan Region,” he added stressing “Barzani always seeks during his travels abroad to show that the Central Government, and its Premier al-Maliki as an opponent to the Kurdistan Region which threatens its safety.”
