Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Salaam al-Maliki, called The US Exxon Mobile Company to stop violating the International and the Iraqi laws and not to neglect the Iraqi people.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Wednesday, he said “The insistence of Exxon Mobil Company on violating the Iraqi constitution and the sovereignty in addition to neglecting the Iraqi laws, which forbid signing any contract without the approval of the central government, is a clear evidence on neglecting the Iraqi people and not respecting the International Laws that organize the investments.”

“If Exxon Mobil continued behaving in this way, it will face many punishments that will exceed being black listed along with the banned companies by considering it an enemy to the Iraqi people where it has to take the punishment of Black Water Company into consideration,” he added.

Earlier, the office of the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, stated in a press statement that “Maliki received a letter from the US President, Barrack Obama, responding to him over the activities of Exxon Mobil in Kurdistan Region and the disputed areas.”
