MP calls Kirkuk PC to reveal circumstances of Davutoglu’s visit to province

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Yasin al-Ubaidi, called “Kirkuk Provincial Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to reveal the circumstances of the visit of the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kirkuk.”

He stressed in a press statement that recited in the building of the parliament on Saturday “This visit is considered as an unjustified violation for the diplomatic norms.”

“The political disputes enabled all sides including the US, Iran and Turkey to interfere in our affairs,” he mentioned.

“Iraq is a free and independent country according to the international norms and laws so as we confirm our desire to establish best relations with the neighboring countries, these relations must be established through the official concerned sides,” he continued.

“The sides that conducted the visit must realize its negative impact on bilateral relations,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, has arrived in Kirkuk after visiting Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
