MP calls to investigate Zebari over Davutoglu’s visit to Kirkuk

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Lubna Raheem, of the Iraqiya Hurra bloc called “The government and the parliament to investigate The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hoshyar Zebari, and those who facilitate the visit of Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kirkuk.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “This visit violates the international laws and norms and considered as a vivid interference in the Iraqi affairs.”

She called “The government to protest the visit and to take the required diplomatic steps.”

She criticized “The statements of the Turkish officials who said that Kirkuk is opened towards the Turkish officials and they visit it at any time.”

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, has arrived in Kirkuk after visiting Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
