Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, criticized “Some political leaders who followed the desires of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, to topple the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki,” noting that “This will result in negative consequences for them.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Some political leaders adopted Barzani’s dreams to topple Maliki because the latter opposed his desires to take some parts of the Iraqi provinces and to steal oil.”

“These leaders who followed Barzani will lose their public support where the citizens in Diyala, Mosul, Salah-il-Din and Kirkuk provinces felt disappointed for these leaders’ performance,” he added.

He called “Iraqis to stand against what going on currently and to prevent these politicians from trading the Iraqi’s interests.”

The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, led a campaign for withdrawing confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in cooperation with the leaders of the Iraqiya Slate.

Earlier, the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, called Maliki to resign to solve the crisis.

The spokesperson of the IS, Maysoun al-Damlouji, stated to IraqiNews.com “We managed to get the required signatures to withdraw confidence from Maliki,” noting that “The MPs’ signatures were collected from all the blocs.”
