Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mohamed Iqbal, of the Iraqiya Slate assured that “The disputes are behind the lack of coordination between the Central Government and the Turkish Foreign Affairs Ministry over the visit of the Turkish Foreign Affairs Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu, to Kurdistan and Kirkuk.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Lack of clear foreign policy adopted by the government and the reactions launched through the statements of those who support the government especially from the State of Law Coalition led to the tension between Iraq and Turkey.”

“The relation between Iraq and Turkey was affected by the governmental stance towards the situation in Syria,” he added.

“Any official’s visit to another State is to be conducted through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Turkish Foreign Minister, Ahmed Davutoglu has arrived in Kirkuk after visiting Erbil.

Davutoglu has arrived to Kurdistan Region on last Wednesday where the Premier of Kurdistan Region, Nijirvan Barzani, has received him in Erbil airport.

The Iraqi Government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs criticized the visit and considered it as a violation for Iraq’s sovereignty.
