MP expects national meeting on time to settle pending issues

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Legal Parliamentary Committee, MP, Azad Abu Bakr, expected “The national meeting to be held on time to settle the pending issues including implementing Erbil Agreement and the political accord.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Holding the national meeting and settling the disputes through the dialogue is the best solution for all sides,” noting that “If the meeting failed, each bloc has other options to settle the crisis including withdrawing confidence and the early elections.”

“The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, practiced marginalization against others,” he added, stressing that “Withdrawing confidence is a democratic and constitutional practice which if happened, the Iraqi National Alliance has to nominate a substitute for Maliki to replace him.”

Recently, some political sides called to withdraw confidence from the cabinet of the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, if he did not implement Erbil Agreement.
