MP Maliki assures submitting request to parliament to replace head of prisons in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul al-Salaam al-Maliki, of the State of Law Coalition and the member of the Parliamentary Security and Defense Committee assured submitting a request to the parliament to replace the head of the prisons in Iraq due to being neglectful in his duty.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said ” There is a change in the posts of the security leaders such as changing the Commander of Salah il-Din Operations Command and some officers,” pointing out “There is a request that has been submitted to the parliament to replace the head of the Iraqi prisons.”

“There are investigation committees that investigate the escape of the prisoners from Tasfirat prison in Tikrit,” he added, noting that “The government supported Tikrit with security forces from Samara and Baghdad in order to sustain security.”
