MP optimistic towards Talabani’s ability to solve political crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Baker Hama, of the Kurdistani Alliance pointed out that “The return of the President, Jalal Talabani, to the country will contribute in settling the current political crisis.”

Hama said in a statement to IraqiNews.com “Talabani is able to resolve the crisis since he is adherent to the Constitution and his political history makes Iraqis confident that he is able to settle the existing crisis through his initiatives.”

“A delegation from Kurdistan Region headed by Barham Saleh, has met with officials in Baghdad. Also a negotiating committee will be formed between Kurdistan Regional Government and the Federal Government, which, in my opinion will help in one way or another to dismantle the political crisis,” he argued.

Talabani underwent a surgery, on last June, in Germany on one of his knees and now he is in Germany for a period of medical rehabilitation.

Earlier, Kurdistani MPs expected Talabani to come back to Iraq after Eid al-Fitr holiday.
