Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hassan al-Jouburi, stated that all the items of the political parties’ law draft are rejected by all the political blocs.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Each political bloc objected over some items in this law draft such as the organizational and financial issues of the political party where there should be a political deal to endorse this law draft.”

He expected the current crisis to “Expedite endorsing some important law drafts such as the elections law draft.”

The First Deputy Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail called on Thursday the Parliamentary Legal Committee to submit a detailed report over the delayed law drafts and the reasons behind delaying them.

MP, Mushriq Naji, the member of the Parliamentary Legal Committee called the political blocs “Not to delay endorsing the important law drafts that could serve the citizens.”

Regarding withdrawing confidence from Maliki, Jouburi said “There are no other options except investigating Maliki then toppling him and this is the attitude of the Kurdistani Alliance as well, but we are not sure about the attitude of the Ahrar bloc after holding the meeting of the Iraqi National Alliance.”

“Maliki’s statement to conduct early elections need to be neglected because the procedures of conducting the early elections will last a year which will make the current government as caretaking government.”
