MP rules out nominating security ministers after Eid al-Fitr

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hakim al-Zamili, the member of the Parliamentary Committee for Security and Defense, ruled out nominating the security ministers after the holiday of Eid al-Fitr, noting that “This issue has many obstacles.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Thursday, he said “This file has many obstacles such as the rejection of the Iraqiya Slate to the names that were approved by the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.”

“This issue needs a longer time due to the lack of deal among the political blocs where many names were nominated,” he added, noting that “The Iraqi National Alliance did not settle the nomination of the Interior Minister where some of the names were rejected.”
