Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Amal Ateya, of the Iraqi National Alliance, urged the Council of Ministers that is supposed to hold its next meeting in Dhi-Qar province, to discuss the services file and the job opportunities of the province.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), she stated “There are many important issues that need to be discussed such as the electricity issue where there is a Japanese company performing an electricity station but the local council in the province refuses to perform this project.”

“The CoM is requested to compensate the local council in order to perform this project in addition to importing the electricity power from the neighboring countries,” she added.

“The CoM is also requested to compensate the political prisoners who were affected by the former regime in addition to setting a special law to compensate them,” she concluded.

The CoM, headed by the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, is supposed to hold its next meeting on Tuesday in Dhi Qar province.
