Muhamadi: Infrastructure Law to bind Iraq with long-term debts

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Walid al-Muhamadi, of the Wasat Alliance pointed out that “The Infrastructure Law will bind Iraq with long-term debts.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Iraq is suffering from security, political, economic crisis as well as financial corruption which must be given the priority to be discussed with the Council of Ministers rather than this law.”

“Limiting the discussion with the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, over this law deprived MPs and Iraqis from realizing any justifications to be presented over the security deterioration and the negative economic as well as the political crisis,” he mentioned.

“If we want to attract investments to the country, we must solve the internal disputes to achieve stability,” he added.

“Iraq lacks an economic vision to save the country from the deteriorated economic situation where the unemployment and financial corruption are spread,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has attended the parliament session to discuss the infrastructure law draft where he expressed his surprise over the objection of some blocs over this law draft, but he admitted some corruption cases to be involved with this law draft.
