Musawi accuses parliament of being behind current disputes

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Samira al-Musawi, of the State of Law Coalition accused “The parliament of being behind the current instability in the country.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “The parliament is behind a lot of the current political disputes that negatively affect the general situation in the country.”

“The government has the right in saying that the parliament is hurdling its performance because there are a lot of law drafts which are not endorsed yet,” she added.

“Even the disputes behind the Central Government and the Regional Government of Kurdistan over the oil contracts are caused by the parliament because its Chairmanship does not set a time table for endorsing the key laws over such issues,” she concluded.

Earlier, Maliki’s office issued a statement stressing that “Maliki will be forced to call for dissolving the parliament and conducting early elections if the political blocs reject resorting to the dialogue.”
