Musawi suggests investing through leasing

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Parliamentary Economy and Investment Committee, Salman al-Musawi, presented the Premier, Nouri Maliki, a proposal to invest by leasing with amounts that equal the late payments.

He said in a statement “The project of reconstructing the infrastructures by late payments and since the previous Parliamentary round, was widely rejected by some political blocs as the whole profits will go to the foreign companies without gaining benefits for the private sector.”

Musawi added “The investment via leasing means eliminating the lack of schools, hospitals, and residential houses through turning Iraq into a workshop.”

“This proposal does not need legislating law by the Parliament as in the late payment project and if enacted it will end most of the problems within one year and at a lower cost if compared with that of late payment as well as of being free of financial and administrative corruption,” he confirmed.
