Mustafa criticizes political deals against Kurds’ rights
Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Latif Mustafa, of Change bloc criticized the political deals conducted by some parts of the State of Law Coalition and the Iraqiya Slate against the Kurds’ rights and releasing tensed statements against them, calling to apply Article 140 of the constitution.
In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he stated “Unfortunately, some sides of the SLC and the IS started to conduct political deals against the Kurds and releasing tensed statements rather than taking care of the citizens who elected them.”
“Article 140 is the best solution to the issues of Kirkuk and the disputed upon areas, especially after setting it as the final solution to this issue,” he added.
“The government can not apply this article which was supposed to be applied on the 31st of December 2007 where the Kurds did not push the government at that time to apply it due to the instable security situation,” he pointed out.
“It is the time to apply this constitutional article in order to settle this issue which is a basic issue of the Iraqi government.” He concluded.
