Mutleg, US Ambassador to Iraq discuss security updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Deputy Prime Minister Salih al-Mutleg discussed with the new US Ambassador to Iraq Stewart Jones and accompanying delegation the security developments in Iraq and their effects on the region and the world.

A statement by Mutleg’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized necessity of protecting Iraqi civilians and providing aid for the surrounded cities as well as securing roads to evacuate displaced families from military conflict areas into secure areas away from bombardment.”

For his part, the US Ambassador expressed continuity of US support for the Iraqi Government and People in their war against terrorism, stressing that “Iraqis will gain victory if they united their efforts towards expelling the strangers and achieve national reconciliation.” /End/
