National Coalition meets in PM Maliki’s presence, calls for ending security ministries dossier

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraq’s National Coalition had held a meeting on Sunday, under chairmanship of its Chairman, Ibrahim al-Jaafari, with the presence of Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, calling for “necessity to instigate all political blocs to end the dossier of the delayed security cabinet ministries, with a close time ceiling,” according to a statement by Jaafari’s office on Monday.   “The conferees had discussed the status of the political process and the evaluation of the 100-day period, announced by Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, that ended recently,” the statement said, adding that the conferees had “reached a conclusion that the experience of the said period had been positive and had achieved a joint position to boost the activity of the ministries, to present services, planning and assign the obstacles.”   It stressed that “the conferees had studied the political status and differences with the al-Wifaq Movement, led by Iyad Allawi and means to find suitable national solutions and to overcome the points of difference, according to the initiative of Iraqi Kurdistan Region’s President, Massoud Barzani.”   SKH (IT)   505
