Negotiations with Kuwait over pending issues disappointing, says Nusayif

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Iraqiya Hurra bloc confirmed that “All the negotiations that were conducted between Iraq and Kuwait concerning the pending issues did not result in any benefits for Iraq.”

She pointed out in a statement by the bloc’s Media Office “Many delegations from both countries held meetings and negotiations where the media outlets were busy following up their details but at the end all this diplomatic and Governmental activity had no benefit for the Iraq.”

“Iraq, over the past few years provided all what could be presented to resolve the outstanding pending issues between both countries, for instance, Mubarak seaport issue, drawing borders between Iraq and Kuwait, the Mutual oil fields issue, and the compensations file, etc, but we have wasted our time in useless, disappointing meetings,” she added.

She stressed “The need to review all the steps made ??by Iraq in this scope and re-evaluate them, and to recognize the disappointing results that turned out from all these meetings and mutual visits between officials of both countries.”
