Nijaifi rejects Shiite-Kurds Alliance against Sunni

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi confirmed his rejection for any alliance between the Kurds and the Shiites in Iraq against the Sunni population.

Nijaifi said in a press conference held in Parliament on Sunday “We do not accept to form a Shiite-Kurdish Alliance against the Sunni population since we seek a national accord state.”

“If some people want to stress the sectarian aspect through sectarian alliances against a certain sect, we would reject this issue and demand these people to reconsider such alliances,” he concluded.
