Nijaifi, Swedish Ambassador discuss consolidating bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, received the Swedish Ambassador at his office in Baghdad on Tuesday.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Both sides discussed consolidating bilateral relations between the two countries.”

“Nijaifi stressed that Sweden is an important country for Iraq to make use of its democratic experience,” the statement added.

“For his part, the Ambassador congratulated the parliament for the successes achieved in this difficult stage,” the statement mentioned.

“Both sides reviewed the political situation in Iraq and the Region including the Syrian crisis,” the statement concluded.
