Nineveh governor denies describing Maliki as over as PM

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Nineveh province, Athil al-Nijaifi, denied describing the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, as “not being the PM any more.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “I did not accuse Maliki of this issue and the political conflict is continued where several attempts are still on going to withdraw confidence from Maliki and if this happens, he will not be the PM any more.”

“Withdrawing confidence does not mean that we have disputes among each others, but we should be reasonable and do not let the political crisis control us,” he added.

Some media outlets mentioned that Nijaifi stated “Maliki is over as PM,” noting that “The citizens in Mousl do not support the State of Law Coalition, but they support the Iraqiya Slate.”
