Nineveh Governor withdraws from PC session

Nineveh (IraqiNews.com) The Governor of Nineveh province, Athil al-Nijaifi, withdrew from the session of Nineveh Provincial Council on Tuesday.

A source Nineveh PC stated to IraqiNews.com “Nijaifi withdrew from the session due to a heated debate with the PC Chairman, Dildar Zibari.”

“Nineveh Fraternity Slate, headed by the Kurds, withdrew with Nijaifi but it returned for the session later on,” the source concluded.

The relations between Nijaifi and Dildar, who belong to al-Hadba Slate, witness tensions.
