No Kurdish security units in Kirkuk – Arab politician

KIRKUK / IraqiNews.com: The head of the Arab bloc in Kirkuk on Friday said that several demands will be submitted during the bloc’s upcoming meeting with the President of Iraq, Jalal Talabani. “These demands include canceling Kurdish security units in the city, dividing authorities in Kirkuk by 32 percent between Arabs, Kurds, and Turkmen, in addition to rebuilding the Arab part of the province,” Hussein Ali Saleh told IraqiNews.com. “The bloc will also demand to have voters’ records in Kirkuk reviewed,” Saled said. “The national security department in Kirkuk should be supported to perform the required role correctly,” he said. The oil-rich city of Kirkuk lies 250 km northeast of the Iraqi capital Baghdad. MH (P)/AmR 1
