No tangible results from Kurdish sides meeting

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The two main Kurdish parties in Kurdistan and the three opposition parties ended their meeting today without announcing any tangible results for the meeting.  After a 4-hour meeting, spokesmen from both sides held a joint conference, attended by IraqiNews.com, during which it was stated by the opposition that the main two Kurdish parties, the Democratic and the National parties, “have formed a committee to study the draft opposition  project.”  “We need more time to study the project in detail,” the Democratic Party spokesman added.  During the conference, it was announced that the coming meeting shall be on the 18 or 20 June.  The opposition spokesman pointed out that “the project contains six points aimed at instilling administrative and political reforms, and abolishing corruption in the governmental establishments of the region.” RM (TS)/SR 516
