Nusaiyf: Integrity Committee investigates ration card, electiric generators issues

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Parlimentary Integrity Committee, Aliya Nusayif, assured that the Committee is following up the quantities and quality of the items of the ration card and the issue of the parts of the electiric generators in Basra.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), she stated “The Committee agreed with the head of the Integrity Commission to send the investigators to Baghdad and the other provinces to supervise improving the items of the ration card.”

“The Trade Ministry has allocated seven Billion USD in addition to taking 500 Million USD each six months from the surplus budget in order to provide the items of the ration card,” she added.

“After completing the reports of the ration card and approving that there are violations, the investigation with the Trade Ministry will be done,” she added, noting that, “One more issue that the Committee is following up is the stored parts of the electric generators in Basra.”

“These parts were contaracted upon by the fomer Electricity Ministr where it is related to the advanced staff of the ministry including the General Inspector,” she pointed out.

“The cost of these parts is four Billion USD where the investigation will be about the way of storing them and the reason behind their damage,” she concluded.
