Nusayif calls to suspend allocations of Kurdistan Region

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the White bloc called the government and the parliament to suspend the allocations of Kurdistan Region until making sure whether it is a part of Iraq or an independent country.

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, she stated “It is necessary to suspend the allocations of Kurdistan Region due to the statements of the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, over not handing over the judiciary wanted Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi, to the judicial sides in Baghdad.”

“Suspension of the allocations of Kurdistan Region is a reaction to those statements and because the water resources come form the middle, south and the west of Iraq,” she added, pointing out” We have to make the Kurds understand the way of the administrational situation of Kurdistan Region.”

“Iraqi people refuse to make Kurdistan Region as a secure shelter to the criminals and the out of law persons,” she concluded.

Recently, the relations between the State of Law Coalition and the Kurdistani Alliance witnessed some tensions as the President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, in his speech at the Second National Conference for the Kurdistani Youth held in Erbil on Thursday, said “We will not hand over VP Hashimi because he came to Kurdistan Region to meet with the President Talabani,” calling “to settle his case through the three presidencies.”

For his part, Yasin Majeed, member of the State of Law Coalition criticized Barzani’s statements about not handing over the judicially wanted Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he stated “Barzani stated that the Kurdish morals do not allow them to hand over Hashimi. We are wondering about the Kurdish morals when the previous regime in 1996 had captured about 700-900 of the patriotic figures of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Iraqi National Conference.”
