Nusayif criticizes Iraqi silence over showing Kuwaiti series harms Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, of the Iraqiya Huhrra bloc showed surprise over the Iraqi silence over displaying a Kuwaiti series that insults the Iraqi people and Iraq.

In a press statement, she said “From the beginning of Ramadan month we have been watching the artistically and morally failed series (Sahir al-Layil) and we were waiting an Iraqi response over the events of that series where it started and will finish by insulting the Iraqis, but we did not hear any reply neither from the government nor from the parliament that represents the Iraqi people.”

“There is no justification over showing this series at this time and the producers of this series try to get benefits from the two sides, Iraq and Kuwait, by insulting the Iraqi people,” she added.

She stressed the necessity of “Showing an Iraqi reply over this series that has no aim except increasing the hatred between the two countries.”
