Nusayif criticizes participation of Iraqi figures in Conference of J& D Party in Turkey

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Aliya Nusayif, criticized the participation of some Iraqi officials and political figures in the conference of the Justice and Development Party headed by the Turkish Prime Minister, Recep Tayib Erdogan in spite of realizing the participation of the fugitive Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashimi in the conference.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday, Nusayif said “The participation of some Iraqi officials in the anniversary of the J& D Party which Hashimi attended, is a shock to the public and politicians since it is strange to participate in an anniversary that includes a fugitive person.”

“Those officials should not have gone to such conferences and had to consider their posts and the authorization that the Iraqi people have given to them to practice their duties in the Iraqi state,” she added.

She called “The President, Jalal Talabani, as being the protector of the constitution and the Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, to avoid such conferences that Hashimi participates in,” noting that “Hashimi’s participation in such conference is considered as an offense to the Iraqi people and underestimation to the victims.”
