Obama will not make dramatic changes – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Sheikh Hameed Rasheed Miala, member of the Unified Iraqi Alliance (UIA) Shiite parliamentary bloc, on Wednesday said that elected U.S. President Barack Obama, would not make dramatic changes. “We expect changes, but they will not be big and dramatic,” Sheikh Miala said in a release that was issued by the Supreme Islamic Iraqi Council (SIIC). “Obama will remain loyal to his state and people, and Iraqi political forces in return will remain loyal to their principles and programs,” he said. “Iraq will remain a very important issue for the new U.S. administration, and will acquire a special care that meets this importance,” he added. “The U.S. is a state of institutions, and its foreign policy relies on those institutions’ regulations,” he noted.
