Operations Committee within IHEC discuss dates of upcoming elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Operations Committee within the Independent High Electoral Commission discussed the dates set for the upcoming elections.

A statement by the IHEC received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) cited “The Committee discussed the dates and the preparations for the Provincial Elections of Kurdistan Region.”

“The Committee also discussed the required preparations and allocations for conducting the Provincial Elections all over Iraqi provinces on the beginning of 2013 in addition to amending the elections law,” the statement noted.

Earlier, the IHEC announced finalizing the law draft of the PCs elections to be submitted to the parliament soon.
