Othman: Allawi to meet Sadr to discuss process of investigating Maliki

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance expected that the head of the Iraqiya Slate, Ayad Allawi, to meet the head of the Sadr Trend, Muqtada al-Sadr, to discuss the issue of investigating the Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We heard that Allawi will meet Sadr soon in order to have definite answer over the investigation process which needs the support of the Sadr Trend to be done.”

“The Iraqi National Alliance has to say its word over limiting the terms of the PM post to be two only in order to complete the Reforms Proposal,” he added, pointing out “The political reforms and the investigation process seem not ready yet.”

Some political blocs decided, while holding Erbil meetings, to withdraw confidence from Maliki, but the Sadr Trend changed its stance when al-Sadr announced that the investigation will affect the Iraqi people.
