Othman confirms disputes among Erbil-Meeting sides, INA blocs

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance confirmed that “There are disputes among the sides of Erbil Meeting that want to withdraw confidence from the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and the blocs within the Iraqi National Alliance which support the political reforms.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) Monday “The huge problem is the lack of transparency due to the various statements launched from the different sides.”

“The blocs within INA that support the reforms are divided into two sides where the State of Law Coalition rejects limiting the Premier’s terms while the other parts of INA aim at limiting the terms of the PM,” he assured.

“The sides that support withdrawing the confidence are also divided where the Sadr Trend withdrew from this proposal and the Iraqiya Slate is divided into supporters and opposers for this proposal in addition to the Kurdistani Alliance where the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan is not supporting this project while the Kurdistani Democratic Party is eager for accomplishing this project,” he added.

“Finally, we do not know the official stances of these blocs,” he remarked.
