Othman describes some of current disputes as "Sectarian"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the Kurdistani Alliance described the political situation as “A very negative situation under the lack of agreement among the political blocs.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “It is not possible to continue the current situation as it is,” noting that “The political leaders are able to change the situation if they wished to solve the disputes and pending issues.”

“Some of the current disputes are sectarian while some others are political,” he added.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, set the adoption of the National Reforms Proposal as a condition to attend the national meeting or any other meetings among the political blocs to solve the current crisis.

A statement by Maliki’s office quoted him while answering to a question by the journalists “Ready to attend any national meeting to solve the disputes according to the prepared proposal under the constitution.”

Over his stance over the proposal of the political reforms, he assured “I am supporting this proposal since it involved all other proposals presented till now.”
