Othman justifies Government reconsideration of cancelling Ration Card by fparliament rejection

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance stated that the government reconsidered its decision over canceling the Ration Card due to its concerns towards the parliament stance regarding this decision in its next session on Monday.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The government reconsidered its decision over the Ration Card because it was afraid of the parliament stance in its next session that will be held on Monday.”

“The financial support that the government specified as a replacement to the Ration Card, was trivial where we do not know how the government specified such amount that is not enough for each citizen to buy the foodstuff of the Ration Card,” he added.

He showed surprise over “Voting on such decision by the Ministers whose blocs object it where they should not support such decision.”

Earlier, the government decided to enable the citizens to choose either the Ration Card or the financial support that replaces it.
