Othman: Political crisis to affect parliament performance

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mahmoud Othman, of the Kurdistani Alliance expected that the political crisis will affect the performance of the parliament in its new term that will start next Thursday.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Probably, the next session will witness heated statements due to the political crisis and this happens in all the parliaments in the world,” he added, noting that “Some parliament may witness fights among the MPs, but this will never happen in Iraq.”

“The political atmosphere is tensed and we hope the MPs to be calm and leave the disputes aside in order to activate the parliament observatory and legislative role that will serve the Iraqi people,” he concluded.
