Parl. OKs law to raise pensions

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi Parliament on Sunday passed a law to increase pensions for those who retired before 2008. “Pensions for those who retired before 2008 will rise by 70,000 Iraqi dinars per month,” a member of the parliamentary financial committee, Sami al-Atroushi, said today during a press conference attended by IraqiNews.com news agency. The Parliament has voted unanimously for the law, Atroushi explained, calling on the Iraqi presidential office to ratify the law. SS (P) 1
