Parliament’s Chairmanship discuss with entrusted Committee Kirkuk local elections

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Parliament Chairmanship held a meeting with the Parliamentary Committee tasked with preparing the law draft of Kirkuk municipal elections.

A statement by the Media Office of the Parliament reported on Saturday “Nijaifi chaired, on Saturday morning, a meeting for the parliamentary committee entrusted with drafting the law of the local elections of Kirkuk province with attendance of both Deputies of the Speaker, Qusai al-Sihail and Arif Tayfur.”

“The meeting reviewed the Committees’ suggestions and opinions in this regard as well as discussing the obstacles that face conducting the municipal elections in Kirkuk, the Register of Voters and the security situation in Kirkuk in general,” the statement added .

“The Chairmanship of the Parliament called the Committee to continue its meetings and present the final report concerning the local elections in Kirkuk by end of the current September,” the statement concluded.
