Parliament’s speaker leaves for Cairo next week

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Speaker of the Iraqi parliament, Iyad al-Samarraie, will head for the Egyptian capital Cairo next week, the media office of the speaker said Thursday, denying reports on canceling the visit. The office denied in a statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency media reports on canceling al-Samarraie’s visit to Egypt, underlining that the visit will be “on time”. Al-Samarraie had announced a visit to Egypt after receiving an official invitation from his Egyptian counterpart, Fathi Sorour.
