PKK announces ceasefire in initiative for dialogue

ARBIL / IraqiNews.com: The Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) has declared a nine-day unilateral ceasefire as of tomorrow with the Turkish forces on the occasion of Eidul-Adha in an initiative to open a dialogue with Ankara, according to a party official. “We have declared a nine-day ceasefire as of tomorrow,” a relations official in the PKK, Ahmed Daneez, told IraqiNews.com by phone. “But if Turkish forces attack us, we will defend ourselves,” he added.
