PM discusses with UN officials missing Kuwaitis file

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki discussed on Tuesday with UN officials the missing Kuwaitis in Iraq file, asserting that Iraq is ready to solve the issue, according to a statement from al-Maliki’s office. “Al-Maliki received the Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for Iraq (SRSG), Ad Melkert, and UN Secretary-General’s High-Level Coordinator for Iraq/Kuwait Missing Persons and Property. Gennady Tarasov, with whom he discussed the missing Kuwaitis issue, asserting that Iraq is ready to solve all pending issue with Kuwait,” said the statement received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Iraq is ready to do whatever it takes and to investigate all available information, which could lead to the missing Kuwaitis’ remains,” the statement quoted the premier as saying.
