PM meets governors on promoting services, investments

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki held on Monday a meeting with chairmen of local provincial councils and governors to discuss ways of promoting services and investments. “The meeting was held in response to an invitation from the provinces affairs ministry in Baghdad to tackle problems facing services and reconstruction and investment files,” said a statement from the office of Saleh al-Mutlaq, deputy prime minister for reconstruction affairs, received by IraqiNews.com news agency. “Corruption became a main point and we have to cooperate and unify efforts to fight it and to get rid of its negative effects,” al-Mutlaq said.
