PM starts official visit to Ankara

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki arrived in Ankara on Wednesday on a one-day official visit to Turkey, the state-run al-Iraqi satellite television said in a Urgent. Al-Maliki will hold talks with senior Turkish officials. An official source had said earlier that the premier is accompanied by ministers of transportation, trade, reconstruction, electricity and minister of state for foreign affairs. “He will discuss several issues, including the Kurdistan Workers Party PKK and border problems,” the source added. “Al- Maliki will then leave for Iran after the one-day visit to Ankara,” the source said, noting that Turkish President Abdullah Gul will pay a visit to Iraq soon.
