Political arena cannot indulge in counter accusations – MP

BAGHDAD / IraqiNews.com: The Iraqi political arena cannot indulge in counter accusations among the political parties and entities, National Alliance  MP Ali Muhsin al-Timimi said today.   In a statement, as received by IraqiNews.com, he added that the “Iraqi people do not want accusations and counter accusations, but need solutions for the problems caused by the U.S. occupation.   The head of al-Iraqiyah bloc Ayad Allawi made a severe attack on Dawa party leader Premier Nouri Al-Maliki charging him with “lies, hypocrisy and misleading” statements, pointing out that he “depended on foreign and Iranian support to be a prime minister.”   Timimi called upon all political entities to “resort to the Sadrist leader Muqtada al-Sadr’s initiative to solve the differences among political entities and discard all talks that will affect Iraqi public opinion.”   “The U.S. occupation has given us a big burden of mistrust among the political entities as well as among the people,” he added.
