Political crisis not to affect PUK, KDP’s relations, says Kurdish official

Sulaimaniya (IraqiNews.com) The member of the Commanding Committee of Kurdistani Democratic Party (KDP) Abdul Wahab Ali assured that “The issue of withdrawing confidence from the Premier Nouri al-Maliki will not affect the relations between the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan PUK and Kurdistani Democratic Party.”

A statement by the PUK, received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), cited Monday that “Foreign interferences and the tensioned relations between the political parties hinder holding the National Conference in Iraq.”

He denied reports over deteriorated relations between the President Jalal Talabani and the President of Kurdistan Region Masoud Barzani,” noting that “All of these claims are groundless since these statements do not reflect the opinion of both parties, but express personal opinions only.”
